I recall the crisp winter air nipping at my nose as I was coming out of the shopping mall. I was carrying multiple shopping bags, each weighing slightly more than I could. My arms were full. I struggled to grab the door handle. Just as I was about to give up and awkwardly squeeze through, a hand gently appeared, holding the door open for me.

“Thank you!” I acknowledged and expressed my gratitude for the unexpected assistance.

The elderly man smiled warmly. “You’re welcome. I remember you. You held the door open for me when I was entering.”
